Job Description

Main Tasks:
• Support development of Acceptance Data Packages per customer requirements, generating elements related to product build documentation
• Generate Non-Conformance (NC) documentation and participate in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities – requires ability to interpret customer and internal models / drawings, specifications and Statements of Work in defining non-conformance
• Support Quality Inspection and Supplier Quality functions in support of interpreting product definition requirements for inspection, either in-process or received components
• Prepare production related metrics and apply data analysis to improvement projects in reduction of loss and increased production throughput
• Support review of design documentation initial release and revisions relative to customer Quality requirements and ability to inspect as designed configuration
• Ability to utilize lean process initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement

 
Requirements/Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited university – aerospace or mechanical majors preferred; Associates degree and/or extensive relevant experience considered
•
Seven to 10 years at minimum years of experience of increasing responsibility in aerospace design, manufacturing, or quality functions; relevant background in industries of similar customer and regulatory requirements considered
• Composite materials product inspection
and machining / assembly processes experience is preferred
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic condition on the floor with start up activity for the facility and individual programs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; an ability to develop documentation clearly conveying non-conformances and process history for internal and external use is a key position requirement
• Ability to work in cross functional team and international settings
• GD&T knowledge per ANSI Y14.5 and Y14.41
• AS9102 First Article experience considered a plus
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Word ,Power Point, Vizio, etc... required; CAD, analysis or math software experience considered a plus
• SAP knowledge is considered a plus
• Must be able to travel both international and domestic as required with extended travel to Switzerland a possibility for initial training
